Take Introduction to Creative Writing for ICC credit this spring!Contributed by Eleanor Henderson on 11/23/20
This spring, study the art and craft of poetry and fiction in a supportive, challenging community of writers with a wide range of majors and interests. Seats are available in a number of sections. The catalog description is as follows: Elements and techniques of writing fiction and poetry introduced through instruction, analysis of models, experimentation, and practice. Fiction-writing techniques include developing character and plot, using dialogue, creating scenes, learning narrative structure, and acquiring narrative voice. Poetry-writing techniques include traditional poetic forms, poetic imagery, and descriptive and figurative language. Prerequisite: Any level-1 composition course.
