Read more . . . (328 words) John Scott’s film “In the Waiting Room” was one of twenty-nine films in competition at the Zebra Poetry Film Festival in Berlin last weekend. The festival selected twenty-nine movies from over 770 submissions from 70 countries to be in the competition screenings. “In the Waiting Room” is Scott’s adaptation of an Elizabeth Bishop poem of the same name and is designed to be integrated into a larger documentary project that focuses on the life and work of the poet. Scott is an associate professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies. Is giving a speech not your bread and butter? Come join the Ithaca College chapter of Toastmasters.
