Fresh off the most recent meeting of the Ithaca College Board of Trustees, held Oct. 8-10, I wanted to let the campus community know about some of the important discussions that took place.  We are looking for infants who are 5 month old, weighing less than 30 lbs, have not yet started to crawl on hands and knees and are developing typically.  Your child can help us in our work to study the effect of using (or not) a robot to move around and play with toys on cognitive development.

Evening Parking -- A vehicle displaying a red permit may be parked in:

  • The blue section of J lot between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., Monday-Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Note: Be aware of special parking restrictions for the Whalen Center in the lower blue section of J lot             
  • All other blue lots between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., Monday-Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.

*First-year students with vehicles displaying green permits must be parked in Z-lot at all times*

BAE Systems, Inc. will interview students on-campus for its Financial Leadership Development Program (NEW APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY, OCT. 20).  Seniors and graduate students majoring in accounting, business administration or economics are invited to attend an information session and/or to apply for on-campus interviews.

Do you desire to chart your own course in life, to be “autonomous”?  Many people claim they do, but our actions suggest that humans more strongly desire “to fit in” with those around them. This lecture will consider these clashing human desires from the standpoint of evolutionary theory, and explore whether future technology can transform this clash, perhaps by transforming the very structure of human interaction.

Ithaca College Information Technology Services is proud to announce that the Whalen Center for Music is the second building to reach completed status for the 2014 Campus Wi-Fi Project.  

After a successful testing phase we are confident that the Wi-Fi network is working well and is delivering a strong, reliable wireless connection.
