The Tots on Bots research team is looking for healthy infants who are  between 6 and 12 months of age, and will weigh under 30 pounds to help us in our work developing mobile robots. We are developing different control options that infants with disabilities could use to control their movement on a mobile robot, but first want to test them with infants who are developing typically.  Your baby can help us!

Patricia Zimmermann, professor of screen studies and codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, has published an essay entitled “The Home Movie Archive Live,” in Amateur Filmmaking: The Home Movie, The Archive, The Web, ed. By Laura Rascaroli and Gwenda Young with Barry Monahan (New York and London: Bloomsbury, 2014).

The essay theorizes how multimedia performances combining amateur archival films and live music create additive structures to reconfigure images as a mobile, embodied, collaborative historiography.  The essay also probes how relational aesthetics, plural temporalities, and provisional contiguities remake screen and concert space as transversal encounters.

The work of Robert Mapplethorpe, Ai Weiwei or *censored* Riot is as much known for what it represents politically as for its formal or aesthetic qualities. What does national cultural policy say about that nation’s values, priorities and sense of shared identity? This course explores the intersection of cultural policy and politics, particularly in the United States during the last hundred years.
