Ithaca College is on spring break the second week in March and there are no classes scheduled, but we are open for business Tuesday through Friday. Our Weight Watchers At Work meetings will take place as usual on Tuesday, March 11th in Peggy Williams Center, Rm GL052.

Hello Campus Community!

The Fitness Center will be closing at 2:00pm this Friday 3/7/2014, and will remain closed through Monday 3/10/2014.  We will reopen with limited hours on Tuesday 3/11/2014, and will resume our normal academic year hours on Monday 3/17/2014.  Please visit the Fitness Center website for details and updates.

For those of you who will be in town, Island Health and Fitness is offering a reduced rate on day passes for Ithaca College faculty and staff (must bring your ID).   The cost will be $6/day at the main location, and $5/day at the community corners location.  The reduced rate will be valid from Saturday 3/8/2014 - Sunday 3/16/2014.

Keri Watson, Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History, recently published "Before We Were Us, We Were Them: Curating Controversy" in the Journal of Museum Education. The essay, a version of which was presented at the College Art Association's 102nd Annual Conference, was also selected for inclusion in the Museum Education Roundtable.

Chip Gagnon was an invited participant at a roundtable on "Identity and Fanaticism" at the Helix Center for Interdisciplinary Investigation of the New York Psychoanalytic Society and Institute in New York City on March 1.

Rachel Briggs, a member of the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, will be coming to IC to speak to students about preservation and conservation efforts in Utah, and the importance of preservation around the world. The presentation will be on Monday, March 17th, at 7pm in Textor 102.
