ZoetIC is an anthology of creative and academic writing published each year by IC's local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society.  All current IC students are invited to submit original work in our five categories: poetry, prose, drama, personal essay, and critical essay.

Handwerker Gallery’s 'artist talk' this Wednesday, Jan. 29, will feature assistant professor of art Carla Stetson, whose work Aerial Reconnaissance is one of two concurrent exhibitions that opened in the space last week.

Beginning at 6 p.m. in the gallery's main lobby, attendees will have the opportunity to gain a unique perspective on the series of drawings from the artist herself. Light refreshments will be available during the lecture, which will be followed by a brief Q&A.

Paula Twomey, Spanish instructor in the DMLL, has published Ten Fairy Tales in Latin with Bolchazy-Carducci Publishers, in collaboration with Suzanne Nussbaum.

The ten tales include Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, The Little Red Hen, The Gingerbread Man, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, The Three Little Pigs, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Pied Piper, and Sleeping Beauty. These popular fairy tales are presented as a script designed to be read aloud as reader’s theater or performed for a larger audience as a mini-drama. Each tale concludes with both a traditional ending and a “twisted ending” – an unexpected alternative conclusion to the story.  A puzzle or activity accompanies each tale.
