During the Winter break any students that will have their vehicles left on campus are directed to park in the S-Lot, located next to the tennis courts.

All traffic rules and regulations are in effect during all breaks. Vehicles left on campus during fall, winter, or spring breaks must be parked in S lot, close to the tennis courts. Residents living at the Circle Apartments who leave a vehicle during fall, winter, or spring breaks must park the vehicle in the L-lot extension.

As we stated last week, the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences is temporarily suspending the Environmental Studies minor as of December 20, 2013. Students currently registered in the Environmental Studies minor are not affected by this suspension, and will be able to complete the minor on schedule. We will accept applications from interested students who have not yet entered the program up to and including December 20.

The Fall 2013 Ithaca College photo workshop class is proud to present There’s No Reason to Go to The Alamo, an exhibition of photographic works, set to open at 108. N. Cayuga St. in Ithaca, NY. This project brings together the works of nine artists who navigate personal, cultural, and political narratives through a variety of photographic techniques, formats, and media.

Featured artists: Ian Bliss, Karissa Breuer, Krystal Cannon, Gary Chin, Erik Frid, Tommy Geanakos, Alex Mason, Emily Sprague and Leslie Thompson.

The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.

Naeem Inayatullah (Politics) published a chapter, “Impossibilities: Generative Misperformance and the Movements of the Teaching Body,” in Jenny Edkins and Adrian Kear (eds)International Politics and Performance: Critical Aesthetics and Creative Practice, (Routledge), 2013, pp. 150-57

The chapter first emerged as a talk, “Failing to Teach,” prepared for Ithaca Seminar Faculty Workshop, in May 2008.  Naeem thanks Warren Schlesinger (Accounting) for his support of this project.

Minna Resnick, Art Department, has been invited to participate in the International Printmaking Biennial of Douro, Portugal in 2014.

This is the largest printmaking exhibition worldwide, comprising 400 artists and 800 works from 70 countries. The organization publishes a hardcover catalog. The Biennial includes individual featured exhibitions, as well a conference and workshops. This three month event takes place from early August to the end of October.

 Has the holiday spirit got you tapping your toes and humming favorite seasonal songs? Are you looking for a wonderful event to share with family and friends, guaranteed to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy?  Please join us on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 7:30 pm for the annual Holiday Concert presented by the Ithaca Concert Band, IC voICes, and the Seneca Singers!  Held in Ford Hall of the Whalen Center, the concert is free, open to all, and appropriate for all ages.

Beat the end of the semester rush! Bring in your personal computer for diagnostic and repair services before finals week for expedited service. The fixIT Shop, located in Friends 110, will be open regular hours until Friday, December 20, 2013 for computer pick-up. The last day to drop off computers for general repair service will be on Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00pm.
