Having trouble staying organized and taking quality notes in class?

In this month's issue of Student Health 101, you can learn about the Cornell Method of taking notes, where notes are organized in different locations by different colors. 

Also, suggestions for good note-taking apps are available! 

-Diigo is an app that allows you to highlight and post sticky notes in text online. 

-Evernote is an app that allows you to store your notes online in your cloud.

Many students have found these very helpful and is linked to their success at college!

The wi-fi networks rely on access points that use radio signals; these signals are affected by many things including devices that put out their own wi-fi signal e.g. wireless printers, cell phones acting as hot spots and mifi devices. Anything that puts out its own SSID can cause problems on the college's wi-fi network. In order to limit interference, please don't use or enable these types of devices in the academic and administrative buildings on campus.

Family Weekend 2013

The 2013 Family Weekend will be held October 25-27.  A full listing of events for the weekend is available online:  www.ithaca.edu/familyweekend.

Students whose family members are attending can pick up registration materials and tickets to Saturday’s football game in the north foyer of Phillips Hall beginning at 11:00 on Friday.  Please bring your ID.

Members of the campus community are invited to attend any Family Weekend events.

This past summer Darius J. Conger, Department of Economics and Ryan E. Cruz, Department of Sport Management and Media, presented a paper entitled “Hierarchical Occupational Segregation and Player Productivity in Professional Tennis Tours” at the Eastern Economics Association in New York City.
