 The Student Activities Board presents world-renowned Psychic Mentalist Duo - The Evasons!

 

Monday, December 10 at 8pm in Emerson Suites. Admission is FREE.  

The show is total audience participation. They choose students out of the audience to be part of the show and you could be one of them!  

The Evasons will read your mind and reveal things about you that nobody could know. Tessa will tell you the name of your childhood pet or the first person you ever kissed. She knows your date of birth and your Grandmother’s first name.   

You’ll see predictions about the future and even watch a student levitate. They demonstrate Mind-Over-Body and move objects with their minds. One particular thing they do is so bizarre and scary that it always gives people goosebumps!

 In response to Israel’s most recent bombardment of the Gaza Strip, named "Operation Pillar of Defense," which left 172 Palestinians and six Israelis dead, the Ithaca College Students for Justice in Palestine will host a forum, Gaza-Strophe, Tuesday, November 4, 7:30pm in the Ithaca Falls room of the Student Activity Center.

As you know, last summer IC retained Huron Education Consulting services in an Effectiveness and Affordability Review to identify ways of reducing administrative cost, finding opportunities for additional revenue, improving service, and promoting efficiencies across the college. Huron is now in the final stages of examining our organization in light of best practices and benchmark information against other institutions of our relative size and composition. In early January we will receive a final report from Huron detailing their recommendations.

The Working Parents Affinity Group (WPAG) is hosting a SWAP 'n SHOP event just in time for the holidays!!  We are encouraging staff, faculty, and students to donate your gently used items for newborn to 14 years old to this event and make them available for other staff, faculty, and students to reuse themselves or give as gifts for the holidays!  You need not be a member of WPAG to donate or shop, so please check out this awesome event!!

The staff at Student Disability Services

Faculty Council is seeking nominees to serve on the Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee( IEBC)  for the Spring 2013 semester only. Given the current economic climate, it is crucial that faculty have input into the upcoming budgetary considerations. This is one of those opportunities. Meetings are on Tuesday afternoons. Due to time considerations, the due date for nominations, including self-nominations is Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 5 PM. We are now looking for infants between 5 and 10 months of age to help us in a research study which takes place in our Movement Lab on the Ithaca College campus. The study involves testing the sitting balance of infants. You will be asked to bring your infant to our lab for three visits; the first to assess your child development and the other two sessions to test your child’s sitting balance. Each session will require approximately 30 minutes. A $20 incentive will be offered for each session that you and your infant attend.
