The Tuba/Euphonium studio will be holding a fundraiser concert on Wednesday, May 2nd in Ford Hall at 10:00 am. The performance will feature the Youngblood Brass Band Group, the South Hill Jazz Quartet, members of the Tuba/Euphonium Studio, and Ithacapella, Premium Blend, and IC Voicestream. The concert will be MC-ed by Junior Music Education Majors Riley Goodemote and Emily Dobmeier. It will be a great way to celebrate the life of Greg as well as the end of the school year. Community raffles, including gift cards to Purity Ice Cream and Hickey's Music store, will be sold (starting at $1) and donations of any amount will be collected during the concert. Read more . . . The season opens in October with a drama from Tracy Letts, author of August: Osage County. Ken Carpenter, a middle-aged man from the middle of America, discovers he's lost his faith. Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, The Man from Nebraska follows Ken on a journey away from home where he examines his faith and how we choose what we believe. The season will continue with the fall musical, Legally Blonde, telling the story of sorority sister Elle who gets dumped by her boyfriend for not being “serious”.
