Professor Cory Brown, Writing Department, presented a paper last month on the role of multiple-perspective thinking in sustainability design, and afterwards conducted a workshop on multiple-perspective thinking, at the annual NCIIA conference, held in San Francisco. He co-wrote the paper with Professor Xanthe Matychak, who teaches Design Theory in RIT's Saunders College of Business. The paper explores the history of multiple perspective thinking in Western philosophy and illustrates its uses in poetry and in the design theory classroom.
