Aaron Edwards ’12 won second place in the Feature Writing category for “No Day But Today,” which appeared in the October 27, 2011, issue of The Ithacan; Taylor Long ’13 won third place in the Feature Writing category for “Rhythmic Roots,” which appeared in the paper’s November 3, 2011, edition. The SPJ is the largest professional organization of reporters and editors in the country.

At 5pm, Dispatches: Children of Gaza will be will be screened. Dispatches focuses on the lives of a small group of children living in Gaza and illustrates the implications of Israel’s occupation of Palestine on its youngest population. Many of the children have lost their parents, family members, and friends to fatal air raids.
