In 2012, the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens is being celebrated around the world. A series of events ranging from film screenings and theater performances to readings and academic presentations will be held throughout the spring as part of the Ithaca Dickens Festival.

Jostens Ring Days

The Jostens representative will be in the Bookstore on Monday 2/6 and Tuesday 2/7 from 10am until 3pm.  This is a great time for Juniors and Seniors to order their class rings.

A documentary about the first openly gay Major League Baseball player will open the spring portion of the Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series at Ithaca College. “The Glenn Burke Story” will be shown on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. in Textor 103. It is free and open to the public.

Music Director Arild Remmereit conducts the RPO in this special performance at Ithaca College. The program features two works by Richard Strauss—the dramatic tone poem Don Juan, and excerpts from the opera Der Rosenkavalier. Plus, the RPO performs Karen Tanaka’s delicate Rose Absolute and the sizzling Sinfonia No. 4 by Cornell Professor Roberto Sierra.

Our listserv, named Scales, is an online email list that serves as a convenient way for Weight Watchers At Work members at IC to keep in touch with each other between meetings.
