Creating “Ahhhhhhh”

The Ithaca College Department of Theatre Arts presents “Illuminated Bodies,” a celebration of original music and movement. This main-stage dance concert is presented once every four years and features four original pieces choreographed by Theatre Arts dance faculty Amy Walker O’Brien and Lindsay Gilmour.

On Thursday, December 8, the Catholic Community celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The Liturgy of the Eucharist (Mass) will be offered in Muller Chapel at 12:10 and 6:00 PM.

 

Special Optical Scanning procedures and schedules are in place for final exam week Sunday, December 18th – Thursday, December 22nd. Optical scanning will be delivered to Operations after the completion of the check-in process at the ITS Helpdesk on Sunday, December 18th (12pm-5pm) and Monday-Thursday, December 19th-22nd (8am-5pm). Please allow for a four-hour turnaround time during finals week. Requested reports will be emailed to the professor’s Ithaca College email address only (including report 101). Regular Optical Scanning processing will resume Friday, December 23rd.

Patricia Zimmermann, professor of cinema, photography and media arts and codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, delivered an invited lecture at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland on November 22, 2011. The lecture was featured as part of the film studies lecture series.

The title of the lecture was "The Robert Flaherty Film Seminar in the 1950s: Humanist and Poetic Activism."

Dance Minor Auditions

Do you love to dance? Do you want to keep studying dance in a collegiate setting? Well, here's your opportunity! The dance minor within the Department of Theatre Arts is holding its bi-annual auditions for admission into the minor. Auditions will be held on Monday, December 12th from 6-8pm in Studio 3, Dillingham Center. Please come warmed up and ready to dance, in proper dance attire. The Reggie Simmons '75 Memorial Award Informational Meeting
Come meet last year's recipients and learn about their experience in Africa

The Reggie Simmons Memorial Award will recognize the extraordinary accomplishments and contributions of Reginald Leigh Simmons, Ph.D. Simmons ’75 devoted his life to the people of Africa and this memorial award will provide the opportunity for two students with majors in the Park School of Communications or politics to follow in Simmons' footsteps.

This is a final reminder regarding signing up for final exams with Student Disability Services if you are a student registered with our office.

You can sign up until 4:00 pm on Friday, DECEMBER 9, 2011. The office cannot accept exam requests after this date.

You can accomplish this by:  filling out forms in Towers Concourse 110 or 130, or by phoning your request to 607-274-1257.
 
Forms can also be downloaded from the website at www.ithaca.edu/sds but, they must be submitted in person.  PLEASE  DO NOT EMAIL FINAL EXAM REQUESTS.

You will be notified by email (your IC account) where you will be taking the exam a day before administration.  Make sure your inbox is not over quota!

If you have special circumstances or are having a great deal of difficulty figuring out when to schedule your exams, please come to Towers Concourse 110 or 130 and someone will be available to assist you.
