We are currently seeking of anyone who would be willing to help out with this production in any way. We are especially in need of actors, and auditions for the production will be:

Sunday, February 21, at 3:00 PM in Friends 201

Monday, February 22,  at 9:00 PM in Friends 201

Tuesday, February 23, at 12:10 PM in Friends 201

These are informal auditions and no preparation is necessary! No acting experience is required either! The production will be sometime near the middle of April.

Anyone interested in helping in any capacity should also attend these auditions.

Should you like a non-acting role, please attend to introduce yourself to the director, Alejandro Chavarria.

Taking place on Friday, Feb. 26, Ithaca College’s annual Black History Month concert will feature songs and dances from Ghana with master musician Sulley (“Soo'-lay”) Imoro. Free and open to the public, the performance will begin at 7 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.

The recital scheduled for Thursday, February 25 has been postponed due to weather; watch the concert calendar for news of the rescheduled date.

Jazz pianist and School of Music faculty member John Stetch will give a free recital on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall.  Joining Stetch for music of Stetch, Oxford, and selections from the Great American Songbook will be Elizabeth Simkin, cello; Richard Faria, clarinet; Josh Oxford, piano; Renato Hanriot, bandoneon; and Nicholas Walker, bass.

 The student dance Company Rock is going to the American College Dance Festival this weekend. We are having our dress rehearsal this Thursday February 18th at 12 noon in Dillingham Studio 3. Come support us and enjoy beautiful, amazing and luscious DANCING!!

 The Ithacan Online has been named one of nine finalists for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association's 2010 Online Crown Award. 

The list of finalists in the national competition includes online newspapers from Indiana University, Iowa State University, the University of Oklahoma and the University of Pennsylvania. Winners will be announced at the Spring National College Media Convention in New York City, March 14–16. 

The Ithacan Online was awarded the CSPA Gold Crown in 2009.

Founded in 1925, the CSPA is owned by Columbia University and operated as a program affiliated with its Graduate School of Journalism. The Crown Awards, first presented in 1982, are the organization's highest recognition of overall excellence.
