Through their tireless advocacy at the local, state and national levels, the Clery family called for campuses across the United States to publically disclose crime statistics and various campus safety policies and procedures. The evolution of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, also known as the Clery Act, has inspired campuses to build and establish partnerships between disciplines to enhance the safety and security for all members of the campus community. (266 words) Dr. Janet Galván (School of Music) Prepares the Ithaca College Choir for a Co-Production of Puccini's La BohèmeContributed by Sara Jacobs on 10/01/19 Janet Galván, Director of Choral Activities prepared the Ithaca College Choir for a collaboration between Opera Ithaca and the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. The Ithaca College Choir served as the chorus for the performances, covering full chorus parts as well as smaller choruses and small roles. This was a major community event bringing together the two organizations named above as well as Ithaca College and the Community School Of Music and Arts. There were two performances, one on Saturday, September 28, and one on Sunday, September 29.
