Over the past couple of years, motor vehicle accidents that either involved an Ithaca College-owned vehicle or a rented vehicle through an outside rental agency have not always been reported properly after an accident occurs.

As recently announced in Intercom the campus wireless network, ICAirnet, will soon be upgraded. The cutover to the new wireless network has been moved from Friday, August 8th to Wednesday, August 13th. The existing wireless network will be unavailable on Monday, 8/11 and Tuesday, 8/12 in preparation for the upgrade.

Eight new members have been elected to the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame. The annual induction ceremony will be held September 20 in the Emerson Suites on campus as part of Ithaca's homecoming weekend.

The eight inductees represent 10 sports. Joining the Hall of Fame will be Linda Buettner, Jo Burruby '84, John Gemmell '98, Leslie Greene '98, Walt Judd '56, Ed Mahoney '95, John Sacchi '66, and Sandy VanBenschoten.

Ithaca College will add women's golf to its intercollegiate athletic program and has hired the program's first coach. The addition of women's golf, which will bring the College's number of varsity sports to 26 (12 men's sports, 14 women's sports), was announced by Ken Kutler, director of intercollegiate athletics and recreational sports, as part of Ithaca's continuing efforts to maintain compliance with Title IX.

A small section of the campus access road, from the entrance to the R lot (by the Garden Apartments) to the main campus loop road, will be closed August 5, 6, and 7 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

This closure is necessary to complete work being done in the C lot.

Golf at Catatonk?

We have plenty of room left in the last summer golf series organized by the Office of Recreational Sports. Catatonk is ONLY $38 to play and the format is "captain and mate." The cost includes breakfast, greens fees, golf cart, fun, and a great chicken barbecue afterward.

You don't have to be a good golfer to play -- just come and enjoy a fun day of golf!
