Volunteer from 9am to 2pm on Friday April 25th for the revival of the Day of Service!
Important Update: Due to logistical issues with the Longview site the playground build is moving to the Casey Center in Dryden. Shuttle transportation will be provided from campus to the work site. Due to the travel time it is recommended that you have at least two hours to commit to the project. If you only have an hour we recommend that you help out with the South Hill Clean up which will have frequent shuttle service.

On Sunday, April 13, the Ithaca College Choral Union and Symphony Orchestra will give a free Ithaca performance of Giuseppe Verdi's "Requiem," a work the ensembles will perform two days later at New York City's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. The Ithaca concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. Lawrence Doebler will conduct.

The Lincoln Center performance will be held in Avery Fisher Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15. Tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased from Center Charge Tickets at 212-721-6500 or at www.lincolncenter.org.

It has been brought to my attention that the academic calendar for spring 2008 has an error. The withdrawal date for semester classes was listed as April 1. In reality, it is April 8.

Requests for withdrawal from courses will be accommodated through 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8.

Alex Sanchez, the author of the acclaimed "Rainbow" trilogy of novels centering on the lives of gay teenagers, will give two presentations during a visit to Ithaca on Monday, April 14. Sanchez will speak at 3:00 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge in Egbert Hall, Campus Center on the Ithaca College campus, and again at 7:00 p.m. in the Ezra Cornell Reading Room of the Tompkins County Public Library. Both talks are free and open to the public.
