 Gordon Rowland and Jason Hamilton recently published a chapter entitled "Developing the connective tissue of the T" in the book T-shaped individuals: Adaptive innovators (2018, Business Expert Press). The chapter documents the relationship of our IC2 Project mini-courses for integrated learning with the business concept of the T-shaped individual—one who has great depth in a specialty as well as the ability to communicate across multiple disciplines.

IC Teatro and Cornell's Teatrotaller are launching a year-long creative collaboration project with the greater Ithaca Latinx community.

¡HABLA! will result in original performance pieces that we'll produce in March and April. Meetings will Tuesday evening this semester from 7-9pm in the downtown Ithaca public library. 

No prior experience necessary.

First meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 4th at 7pm in the Tompkins County Public Library's Borg Warner Room - West.

The Ithacan is looking to hire a community outreach manager. This is a paid student position.

This position, while focused on engaging all readers of The Ithacan, will specifically be working to better understand The Ithacan’s relationship with marginalized communities on campus by hosting monthly community discussions and through organizing data concerning The Ithacan’s sourcing and staffing trends. Since this is a newly created position, further development of the position’s responsibilities may take place. We’re looking for someone who is willing to bring new and inspiring ideas to The Ithacan to make it a more inclusive, welcoming space for all students.

Pulitzer Prize winning author and Yale Law Professor, James Forman, Jr., will give this year's Constitution Day Lecture on his book, LOCKING UP OUR OWN: CRIME AND PUNISHMENT IN BLACK AMERICA. Professor Forman will be available for a book signing after the event.

 All first year and transfer students are invited to participate in the Catholic Community's First Year Retreat taking place this Saturday Sept. 8 from 9:30 AM- 5 PM.

The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen LGBTQ annual film series at Ithaca College will kick off its 2018–19 schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 5, with the documentary “The Year We Thought About Love.” Go behind the scenes of the one of the oldest queer youth theater troupes in America. Together they explore love - romantic, familial, and religious - as they write scripts based on their lives. Free and open to the public, the film will be shown at 6 p.m. in Textor 103.
