Julie Boles, Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education, is a member of the Lansing Central School District Board of Education and has received the Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga BOCES Regional Board Member of the Year award.

She was presented with the award in July at the TST BOCES Annual Board Trustee Dinner event. At the event, Lansing CSD Board President Christine Iacobucci spoke about Julie, and highlighted her kind, caring, and diplomatic leadership. In addition, she reminded us that the Boles family also provides Lansing with a community ice cream shop that allows us a wonderful space to come together, say hello, and share some quality ice cream.

“This will be Julie’s last year as a Lansing CSD board member, and I personally am so grateful for Julie’s guidance, leadership and friendship,” said Lansing CSD Superintendent Chris Pettograsso. "I cannot think of a more deserving servant to our school and community."

Thank you for all that you do for Lansing, Julie!
