Ithaca College has made the important decision to transition its electricity supply exclusively to clean and renewable sources, significantly reducing its carbon footprint and helping move the college toward its goal of becoming carbon neutral.

Since February 2018, 100 percent of the college’s electricity has been purchased from Green-e certified national wind farms. The move will offset around 7,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents per year — roughly 35 percent of IC’s total emissions.

As first posted to Intercom on March 28, this Friday, March 30, the Office of Admissions will be hosting a large number of prospective students and families on campus, including presenting the Experience Ithaca event for admitted students.  Please be aware that the increased volume of guests will result in an impact on campus parking availability, including reservation of the N-Lot (the lot between the Yavits and Allen playing fields) and approximately 80 spaces within O-Lot (the lot adjacent to the Park School of Communications) for use only by attendees of these events.
