This year’s ITHACON drew over a thousand visitors to the Emerson Suites and Williams Hall this weekend.  We were especially pleased to have over 250 children join us to read graphic novels, learn to draw comics, sculpt and craft, play quidditch, hunt zombies and become super heroes.

 The Ithacan has been named a finalist for Best All-Around Non-Daily Student Newspaper in the Northeast Region in this year's Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards competition. The awards are presented for papers published during calendar year 2017.

 In addition, Nicole Pimental has been named a finalist in the General News Reporting category for her story “Faculty of Color at Ithaca College Experience Cultural Taxation,” published April 5, 2017, and Grace Elletson has been named a finalist in the same category for “Barstool Ithaca Raises Questions About Sports Culture at IC,” published October 25, 2017.
