Registration is currently open for the Spring offering of the R.A.D. self-defense course for women. Spaces still remain available for this class, which will be conducted in four 3-hour sessions on each Wednesday evening during April from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This course is open to any student, faculty or staff member who identifies as female. Participants must be able to attend all four class dates (4/4, 4/11, 4/18 & 4/25) in order to receive certification. Course registration is $15; however, this fee can be waived in cases of financial hardship. As just one component of the College's broader S.H.A.R.E. sexual assault prevention strategies, R.A.D. seeks to support all women on campus who feel they would be further empowered through training in physical defense. (81 words) SASP is a team of about 35-40 students who assist the Office of Public Safety with patrolling the Ithaca College campus in pairs between the hours of 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. weekdays, and 9:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. on weekends while classes are in session. In addition, SASP assist with crowd and traffic control for numerous special events that take place on campus at various hours of the day or night. (47 words) U-Lot (Campus Center Lot) Closed Through 11:30 AM Only On Friday, 3/16Contributed by Andrew Kosinuk on 03/14/18 On Friday, March 16 the U-Lot (Campus Center Lot) will serve as reserved parking for an on-campus event. The closure will be in place from the beginning of the business day until 11:30 a.m., at which time the lot will return to normal use for the remainder of the day. Individuals needing to access the lot's handicapped spaces can continue to do so at any time by speaking with the lot attendant. Looking for a great community to live in next year? Want to register for housing early? Consider joining a Residential Learning Community! RLCs offer a community environment where students share passions and academic interests. Students have the opportunity to participate in community programs and trips and work with RLC Associates (Faculty/Staff who have expertise in a particular area) for mentorship and support.
