The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Educational Affairs would like to invite all members of the campus community to an art exhibition and reception on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the Peggy Ryan Williams Center, Office of the Provost.

Come join us and celebrate the exceptional artwork of Ithaca College students, speak to some of the artists, and view a wide range of impressive creativity and imagination.

On Thursday, March 1st 4:15-5:45 pm in Business 301, we'll gather to discuss new work by Jonathan Baldo (Eastman School of Music, Humanities Department) and Christopher Matusiak (Ithaca College, English). Chris and Jonathan will circulate papers ahead of the event, sharing their current work on Stuart theater history (Chris) and memory and forgetting in Shakespeare's works (Jonathan).

 This spring break, the Ithaca College Catholic Community is traveling to the Romero Center in Camden NJ where we will participate in their Urban Challenge Program. Students who volunteer will work at social service programs like soup kitchens or after school programs.

 The Women's and Gender Studies Program is bringing Shahan Bellamy to campus as our Dissertation Diversity Scholar candidate.  Shahan is a doctoral candidate in the Women's and Gender Studies Program at Arizona State University.  His research meets at the intersections of feminist theory, Black trans* studies, queer of color critique, and masculinity studies.  His most recent project titled "Tumblr Saved my Life": An interdisciplinary investigation of how Black trans-masculinity operates through Tumblr uses participatory ethnography to learn about the lives of Black transgender men.
