The IT team has been working for the past 4 months to prepare to replace a central component of the campus network that is at end of life.  While we are doing this work, the entire campus network will be unavailable.

The outage is expected to last about 5 hours from 7 AM to Noon on Monday, December 28th.

  • If you are on campus you will not be able to connect to anything, on or off campus.  This includes printing and the Internet.
  • If you are off campus or in a residence hall: You will be able to continue to access email and the rest of Office 365 services (including Teams), Zoom, Sakai (will be able to continue grading within Sakai), finance, HR, WWW website, internet.  You will not be able to access Homer (Registration Tools and Student Financial Services), DegreeWorks, IC Workflow, or any other on-campus hosted service.

There are significant advantages in terms of accessing support resources doing this work during a weekday daytime hours.  Thank you.

Thank you, Ithaca College!

Contributed by Jordan Stecker on 12/11/20

We, leaders of the Jewish Community at Ithaca College (IC), applaud the decision of both the IC Administration and the Division of Student Affairs & Campus Life to host the upcoming All-Student and Family Virtual Gathering on an alternative day, rather than hosting it on the first night of Hanukkah.

This is the first time in recent history that the college has outwardly and publicly recognized the need to change an event due to a religious holiday. We proudly commend this alteration, which was done as a means of incorporating more inclusion on our campus.

As an organization, we are confident that additional further measures will be taken by college divisions and administrators in considering the importance of diversity, equity, and equality on our campus when it pertains to hosting events and other aspects of academic affairs and student life.

With Appreciation,

The Jewish Student Union at Ithaca College

The Public Health Task Force and the College Move-in Committee have been hard at work to ensure that we prioritize the health and safety of our entire community as we plan to welcome students back to Ithaca for the spring 2021 semester. In the past, we organize in the fall to greet students and their families, and help students move into the residence halls, but the bulk of students will be moving in this spring. There are unique situations requiring increased support to ensure safety and efficiency during this process.
