Paul R. Geisler, EdD, ATC, Associate Professor and Director of Athletic Training in the Department of Exercise & Sport Sciences recently presented a talk at the 2018 Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium in Boston, MA. As one of the 4 plenary sessions selected for the inaugural EATA Educators' Conference, Dr. Geisler presented the working and structural model for the AT education program's unique and innovative curriculum to an audience of peer athletic training educators and administrators from the northeastern United States. The talk, a culmination of years of collaborative work from the AT faculty, especially Dr. Jennifer M McKeon, PhD, ATC, CSCS and Dr. Patrick O. McKeon, PhD, ATC, CSCS was titled Curriculum 3.0: Developing Clinical Capabilities via an  Integrated, Evidence-Informed 3 Pillars+ Curriculum.

Ithaca College has had a very successful programmatic partnership with Longview, a retirement community located on Danby Road, for the past 19 years.  There are a number of opportunities for members of the Ithaca College Community to become involved at Longview.

OSEMA’s Alternative Spring Break Program is in need of an adviser for a volunteer trip to Detroit this March. In Detroit, students will work CASS Community Social Services, an organization that is dedicated to dedicated to providing food, housing, health services, and job programs in the Detroit area.

ASB Advisers assist with driving IC vehicles, serve as the group’s emergency contact, assure that all IC and OSEMA policies are followed, and manage the group’s budget and itinerary. Advisers assume NO personal financial cost while traveling with the ASB program; it’s an all-expense paid opportunity to travel and volunteer with students!
