IC2 mini-courses are:

* short courses that help you make connections between what you are studying in courses inside and outside your majors

* filled with activities and hands-on learning; no lectures

* lots of fun

* helpful in making learning more lasting and more useful in meeting complex real-world challenges

* one credit and graded pass/fail

Any three of the IC2 mini-courses count as a Humanities or Social Sciences perspective in any theme (starting in block 2 of Fall 2016; prior to that they counted in the World of Systems or the Inquiry, Imagination and Innovation themes).

H&S Students Maggie Mowrer (Spanish & IMS, '20) and Kaylynn Powell (Italian & Spanish, '17), and H&S instructor James Pfrehm (Assoc. Professor of German and Linguistics) were recently invited to present to 300 high school students in Elmira Heights on the topic "What Learning a Foreign language Has Meant to Me." Mowrer, Powell, and Pfrehm spoke about the unique experiences, opportunities, and connections that learning a foreign language has offered them.   

Beginning Monday, October 30th, Financial services will be offering cash/check training services to all college employees (student, staff, and faculty) who handle cash or checks.

IC Books Thru Bars is proud to host spoken word poet, youth advocate, performer and activist Amin Drew Law for an on-campus performance. Amin has traveled the country and is featured on the popular poetry media outlet: Button Poetry.

He will be on campus Thursday, October 26th at 7PM in Textor 101 for a spoken word performance, lecture and Q&A. You can find one of his poems here: Amin Drew Law - "Unsaid"
