Campus Climate Survey Thank You

On behalf of the Campus Study Workgroup (CSWG), I would like to extend our gratitude to the campus community for your response to the recently implemented campus climate survey.  We are very pleased with the campus level of participation.   At this time, we do not have the final response rate that we can share, however, the CSWG will be meeting with Rankin & Associates later this month to discuss next steps moving forward.

 Christopher House, communication studies assistant professor and former predoctoral diversity scholar, recently co-authored a paper with politics major Amanda Morales.  Titled, "Crying for Justice: The #BlackLivesMatter Religious Rhetoric of Bishop T.D. Jakes", the paper was accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting of the National Communication Association in Philadelphia.

EASDC Fall Social!!

The Educational Affairs Staff Development Committee is hosting our first social event of the year on November 21 from 11- 1pm in Klingenstein Lounge. Come get to know your Educational Affairs colleagues and have some fun raising money to support the Chapel Emergency Fund that provides monies, gas cards, and grocery cards to students, faculty and staff in need.

There will be food, music, make-your-own greeting card station, and a silent gift basket raffle.

The gift baskets for the silent raffle are being posted on the event page, so you can sneak a peak ahead of time!

 Mike Matheny, Clinical Associate Professor/Head Athletic Trainer in the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Mary Pitti, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinic Director, and Assistant Chair in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Dr. Andrew Getzin, Medical Director for Athletic Teams have collaborated to publish "Dyspnea in Patients: Is It Really Asthma?" in the November/December issue of Athletic Training & Sports Health Care.
