The task force has already met twice since the start of the semester, and is working to complete a draft of a proposed shared governance charter for the college to be shared with the campus.

Over the course of seven decades, actor and activist George Takei boldly journeyed from a WWII internment camp to the helm of the starship Enterprise to the daily news feeds of five million Facebook fans. “To Be Takei,” a documentary chronicling the “Star Trek” actor’s playful and profound trek for life, liberty and love, will be shown at Ithaca College on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. in Textor 101. It is free and open to the public.
Through the collaborative efforts of the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs, campus partners in various departments and offices, and our amazing student organizations, we are able to provide various opportunities to learn, share, celebrate, challenge, empower, and appreciate Latinx Heritage Month, Native History/ 1st Peoples Month, Black History Month, and Focus Asia Month.
Join OSEMA for the first annual GPS Sophomore Leadership Retreat – Growth, Purpose, Success on Saturday, September 24 from 9-5pm. On this retreat we will focus on building leadership skills important to your sophomore year. We will be headed off campus to do a high ropes course and other team building activities. 
These are some of the important questions and material we are dealing with this year in the 15th annual Cross-Cultural Leadership Retreat. We all have identities and they are a huge part of who we are and what this campus is!
