Barbara Ganzel, director of the Gerontology Institute, has been awarded a $69,000 Innovation Fund Program grant from a community-based organization, Care Compass Network. The Ithaca Public Education Initiative (IPEI) helped us identify a funding request they had received that aligned with criteria we outlined: A) Student/Education focused B) Supports remote/at home learning, and C) Art-related. Since we started, some art supplies have already been distributed. With your help we can fulfill our goal to reach more students. Consider a donation as a graduation gift to honor a student or as an end of year gift to honor their teacher. Any/all gifts will be used to support grant requests. Career Services invites 2020 grads of all career interest areas to participate in a 4-week job search coaching group beginning on June 23, 2020 (1-2PM). The intent of the group is to share strategies and resources for navigating a typical job market as well as the current COVID-19 environment. It will be discussion oriented and participants will emerge better prepared to define their career goals, develop strategies for attaining them, and learn how to tell their authentic story through resumes, cover letters, networking, and interviews.
