Patricia Zimmermann, professor of screen studies and codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, has been selected for the Roster of Fulbright Specialists.  Her selection is a result of her books, publications, lectures, and workshops on democratic new media documentary and her research and programming work on environmental and human rights issues across media and multiple arts for the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival at Ithaca College.

This Roster is a list of candidates who are eligible to be matched with incoming project requests from overseas academic institutions for Fulbright Specialists.  Dr. Zimmerman will be considered for projects that require her expertise.

  Join IC Books Thru Bars for Molly Crabapple’s short film, followed by a workshop on solitary confident in NY and how to get involved in the movement to end this torture. Solitary confinement is a form of imprisonment in which an inmate is isolated from any human contact, though often with the exception of members of prison staff. It is sometimes employed as a form of punishment beyond incarceration for a prisoner and has been cited as an additional measure of protection for the inmate. The event is at 8:30pm on Tuesday, March 08 in Friends 207.

 Nine Ithaca College students traveled to New Brunswick, New Jersey as registered participants of the East Coast Asian American Student Union (ECAASU) conference held on the campus of Rutgers University.  As members of the Asian American Alliance student organization, Candice Tan ’18, Lucy Chen ’16, Sara Kim ’17, Walter Martzen ’19, Erika Mae Dimagiba ’19, Michelle Flores ’19,  Jung Chen Kuo ’19, Luke Watkins ’18, and Fion Wu ‘16  represented IC among the many institutions and participants present.

Paving a Way for LGBTQ Inclusion in Sports.
Cornell Athlete Ally is proud to announce that Megan Rapinoe, a professional women's soccer player will be coming to speak at Cornell. She is an Olympic Gold Medalist and Women's World Cup Champion as well as a member of the US Women's National Soccer Team. She will be speaking at Cornell about LGBTQ inclusion in professional sports and gender equality in athletics. The event is free and open to the public.
