The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs is seeking a two members of the staff or faculty who are interested in serving as a trip advisers for students participating in the Alternative Spring Break Program (ASB) from March 13 - March 19, 2016. We are currently seeking an adviser for the volunteer trip to Salamanca, NY, where students will work at a youth center located on the Seneca Nation of Indians Allegany Territory, Students on this trip will have the opportunity to learn more about the dynamics between native and non-native peoples living in the area.

The IC Asian American Alliance is working in collaboration with Brothers for Brothers (B4B) to host an intercollegiate basketball tournament, inviting players from Cornell University, Ithaca College, and the greater Ithaca community for fundraising purposes. Players would get to play 3-on-3 basketball and enjoy food and performances on Saturday, February 20 from 10 am to 6 pm in the IC Fitness Center/Mondo Gym.

The Spring 2016 Student Organization Fair is Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 10am-3pm in Emerson Suites. There will be over 150 student organizations promoting events, recruiting members, and showcasing their student organization. The student organization is free to attend. A test of the Ithaca College Emergency Notification System (ENS) will take place during the noon hour on Thursday, Feb. 4. It will include a test of the Outdoor Warning System, which features a siren tone and loudspeaker message. There is no need to take any action in response to the tests.

This committee provides federally-mandated oversight of all activities that have a direct impact on the well-being of animals.

 Dani Novak (Retired professor from Math Department) and Cristina Gomez (Math Education Professor) are looking for a student to apply for a Dana Internship for the Summer of 2016.  This will mean to work for 10 weeks for 40 hours a week during this coming summer.  Duties will include: Assisting in planning a conference,  Learning Math Software tools for education (GeoGebra and Dr. Pond),  Learning how to create OkiDoku puzzles, creating lesson plans and mentoring children.  The deadline for the application is February 12th.  If you are interested Email Dr. Dani Novak at novak@ithaca.edu and describe yourself, your skills and interests (some knowledge of music is a plus but not necessary)
