The December installment of the Dollars and $ense Discussion Series will take place this Thursday, December 10th.  Vice President Hector will provide a monthly budget update, follow up on current administrative initiatives, and then open up the session for Q&A.

Faculty and Staff are invited to participate in the discussion, which takes place in Emerson Suite A at 9 am.

 Stress: Its Nature and Management will be offered ONLINE during the Winter Intersession, from January 11 through January 22.   

All of us experience stress.  Learn about the nature of stress and how to manage it so you can achieve your optimum potential.  This course offers a personalized learning experience, with discussion, workbook activities, and projects focusing on understanding stress and making it stress work for you.  3 credits

Leadership Weekend is a two-day retreat that brings together students from a variety of roles on campus to learn from each other and discover new ways to demonstrate leadership. Participants attend a series of leadership development sessions that focus on team-building and further developing individual leadership skills and understandings.

This is also an opportunity to earn 3 Leading Self credits for the Student Leadership Institute (SLI)!

Exhibiting artist Sarah Gotowka will host a public workshop with natural dyes in the Handwerker Gallery on Wednesday, December 9, from 11am-1 pm. Drop-ins welcome! Gotowka collaborated with the IC Gardens and Dana Summer Fellow Vin Manta '17 to plant several natural pigment plants over the summer of 2015, the plants of which were harvested with the help of classes from the ICSM program. Dyes include colors derived from Marigold, Indigo, Cosmos, Correopsis, and Hopi Sunflower. All materials supplied the gallery. Participants are welcome to bring in small clean natural-fiber (cotton, wool, linen, flax) objects of clothing/apparel to dye, but should remember to bring plastic bags as well!

Please stop by our blood drive in the Fitness center to donate blood on Thursday December 10.  Stop by the sign up table in Campus Center on Monday between 10 and 3 to  make an appointment. Whole blood donation every 15 minutes and  Double Red Donations 3 every hour and Two every half hour.
