 Sport Event & Networking Club is hosting their 2nd Annual Flag Football Tournament on Oct. 24 at 1pm at Higgins Stadium. Teams can have anywhere from 7-10 players and the cost per team is $30.

On Thursday, October 8, we conducted a Blue Sky Reimagining kick-off event, featuring a conversation among four alumni followed by work in small groups brainstorming on how to make the Ithaca College educational experience more immersive. Insensitive comments were made during the conversation. Immediately following the event, I (Tom Rochon) apologized to the alumna to whom the comments were addressed. We regret that what was intended to be a visionary moment for our community was diminished by insensitive comments.

“The Teacher’s Guide to Media Literacy: Critical Thinking in a Multimedia World” by Cyndy Scheibe and Faith Rogow includes 139 lesson ideas using media literacy. The companion website has been updated to include digital resources and complete support documents such as student worksheets, relevant video clips, example PowerPoint slides and key questions for the analysis of media messages for the seven complete lesson plans.

The Office of Career Services is open for drop ins from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday  through Wednesday, October 12th through the 14th.

Thursday, October 15th our drop-in hours will be 12:30-3:30. On Friday, October 16th we will not have any drop-in hours.

We are open during fall break for appointments and drop-ins on an adjusted schedule. Feel free to drop-in and see us!

Ithaca College students are invited to participate to come together in a safe environment to share feelings, thoughts, and experiences in a sustained, confidential, frank dialogue around issues of race and racism. The Diversity Awareness Committee will initiate a Student Talking Circle facilitated by professionals from the Multicultural Resource Center. The Talking Circle will be made up of 16 racially and ethnically diverse people who will meet once a week for five consecutive sessions to self-reflect, share experiences, and learn from others’ perspectives and attitudes.
