CEPA - Europe Presentation

Dear Faculty and Staff:

On behalf of Provost Rifkin, I am pleased to invite you to a presentation by Ms. Ulrike Leibrecht, Managing Director of CEPA Europe, an organization offering customized educational programs abroad in support of faculty-led short-term programs. Ms. Leibrecht will speak on the advantages of a partnership with CEPA and on the development of academically focused faculty-led program opportunities in Europe, Asia, and Brazil. Staff who are considering the development of non-credit short-term travel programs for students are also encouraged to attend.

 Students have an opportunity to volunteer with the Finger Lakes Parks or Syracuse Rescue Mission during IC's fall break this year!

From October 15 through October 18, students can help the regional park system with their fall season outdoor projects, or work with the Syracuse Rescue Mission, which serves homeless and economically disadvantaged residents in and around Syracuse.

This is a great opportunity to meet new friends, and your fall break enjoying central New York! 

There are 6 spaces available for both trips. This trip will fill on a first come, first served basis. The cost for each trip is $75.00, and covers all expenses.

 Service Saturday is coming soon for October! We have an exciting group of local sites in Tompkins County that we’ll be volunteering with on October 3:

-       Brooktondale Community Center: Help prepare for its upcoming fall festival by preparing dozens of apple pies!

-       Apple Harvest Festival: Help the Downtown Ithaca Alliance with a variety of tasks to make one of the best festivals in Ithaca successful!

-       Dotson Community Park: Help clear hiking trails and begin to open a space for a natural playground, while enjoying the fall weather at the same time!

Ithaca Dining Services would like to thank everyone who has donated to our donation drive! We partnered with local DJ, Chris Allinger, for his final Walkin' the Country tour for the BackPack Program. On Friday, we were able to present Chris with a total of $4,062.65! This total alone can provide 1,354 BackPacks for children of Tompkins County who are in need. 

Stay tuned as we gear up for Food Frenzy!, our annual food vendor showcase, on October 1st. This will close drive...let's end it with a bang!
