(67 words) A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lew Durland will be held at Annabel Taylor Chapel at Cornell University at 1pm on Saturday, June 13th. Members of the campus community are invited to attend the gathering, which will be followed by a reception across the hall in the Founder’s Room. Lew passed away on May 21. Click here to vote Paul Wilson (Art History) Presents at a Conference in IcelandContributed by Jennifer Jolly on 06/04/15 Paul Wilson, Assistant Professor of Art History, presented a paper at the triennial conference of the Nordic Committee for Art History in Reykjavik, Iceland in May. His paper “Monumental Indifference in Tallinn” used an collaborative film project by the Finnish artist Anu Pennanen to explore the status of communist-era monuments in contemporary Tallinn, Estonia. The Wi-Fi rebuild in Job, Friends, and Textor Halls was recently completed. Our testing shows that Wi-Fi performance is much improved, but we'd like affirmation from the people that use Wi-Fi in those buildings. Enrique Gonzalez-Conty, Assistant Professor in Modern Languages and Literatures, presented at CLAG 2015Contributed by Tina Bennett on 06/04/15 Enrique Gonzalez-Conty, Assistant Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures, presented a paper entitled “Nación post-mortem: Cine y territorialidad en Puerto Rico” at the Conference of Latin Americanist Geographers in Fortaleza, Brazil. The presentation examined the construction of a national territorial identity in Contemporary Puerto Rican Cinema. Gary’s last day at Ithaca College will be on Thursday, June 4th and will start his new position with Yale on June 8th. Read more . . .
