The Office of the Provost & Sr. VPAA invites applications for the Dana Professorship.

Thanks to the Charles A. Dana Foundation’s generosity, Dana Professorships are awarded to selected Ithaca College full professors who have demonstrated a continued record of excellence as well as a promise of outstanding future contributions in teaching, professional endeavor in their area of specialty, and service to college and community. Dana Professors serve as role models and mentors for faculty and students, freely sharing their leadership skills, expertise, advice, and experience with the College’s community and others who seek it. As a result, the Dana Professors’ activities reflect positively on and enhance the College’s national and international reputation as a center for academic and artistic inquiry.

Through collaboration, we can further the level of support we provide to students as it relates to their career development. 

You are invited to participate in a survey about the knowledge and competencies utilized when providing career development support to students. The purpose of this survey is to understand the support that faculty and staff want and need to assist students as it relates to their career development.

Dear Faculty,

Beginning this week, students may view the fall 2021 schedule in Homer, and course registrations will begin Tuesday, April 13th. We are observing a Monday, April 12th deadline for submission of Fall 2021 course adoptions in order to comply with the provisions of the Higher Education Equal Opportunity Act. Students must be able to review both the course schedule and the anticipated costs of textbooks associated with those courses at the time they register for courses.

As we head into preparation for fall registration, the Retention and Engagement Strategy Team (REST) has new resources to share. In addition to the Online Advising Toolkit on the Faculty Hub, we have added two new tools, and three advising events to share with students.  Events are open to all students in all majors, but especially useful for first- and second-year students.
