Early Arrival Requests for those students who did not live on campus during the Fall semester but are required to check in to their Spring housing assignment prior to the published Spring semester check-in date must receive written approval from the Office of Residential Life to arrive early. Students without written authorization found in a residence hall or who make an attempt to check-in early are subject to a $100.00 unauthorized presence fee. The earliest date you can request is the Wednesday prior to the published residence hall opening date for the Spring semester.

Students who had an on-campus Fall assignment and would like to return to campus prior to the official Spring semester opening can return to their Fall assignment as early as January 4th, 2015 as part of our Break Housing options. They do not need to submit an Early Arrival Request form.

On November 21st, Project Look Sharp’s Chris Sperry, attended the 94th NCSS Annual Conference in beautiful and historic Boston, Massachusetts. The NCSS Conference is the world’s largest and most comprehensive social studies professional development conference. The event allowed people to gain new ideas, resources, and skills while being engaging and exploring rich and varied learning opportunities. More than 3,000 people across the United States and the world attended the conference to share the most current knowledge, ideas, expertise and research in social studies education.

Employee permits for 2015 will be available to order online beginning Monday, December 8, 2014.

Current Employee Parking Permits will expire on January 15, 2015. You may order your new parking permit online at https://www.ithaca.edu/sacl/parking_registration.php.

When registering online, please identify your preferred delivery method.  Permits can be delivered via campus mail, picked up at our office or mailed to your home address.

Come listen to Keri Blakinger speak on Monday, December 8, at 7:00pm in Friends 207 to find out what the real female prison experience is like. In 2010, Blakinger, then a Cornell student, was arrested with $150,000 of heroin. Four years later, she is clean, out of prison, and writing a book. She'll read a brief excerpt from the manuscript, talk about the bizarre norms and mores of the carceral world, and discuss some of the problems with theprison system.
