The staff of the Center for LGBT Education, Outreach and Services knows that being back at home can be wonderful, but sometimes stressful. And some students may believe this particular break is a good time to come out to family and friends. Coming out is a highly individual, personal process. Only you can know when and whether it's the right time for you. The basic resources section of the LGBT Center website includes specific resources for you, your family, and friends, about coming out - whether you decide to do so this week, or at any other time of the year that's right for you. The Thanksgiving break resources page includes additional helpful information including how to find the nearest LGBT community center to your home community, national hotline information, and more. Resources are also always available from the LGBT Center, throughout the academic year. Wishing you a safe and happy Thanksgiving break!
