Across the country, people are having conversations about mental health. On Monday, October 6, Active Minds at Ithaca College hosted Text Talk Act, a text messaging-enabled program that inspired people to have these conversations. For participating in the program, the college’s chapter of Active Minds won a $1,000 prize from Creating Community Solutions, a part of the National Dialogue on Mental Health. IC International Club is a cultural student organization that embraces the diversity of students here on campus.  Vice President Desiree Lim (Theatre Studies ’15) described the student organization’s mission by saying, “We want to be the bridge between international and domestic students. Sometimes there’s a disconnect because depending on where you’re from there are stigmas or stereotypes, and we want to be able to get rid of those by allowing people to really get to know each other on a more personal level in a safe space.“

"Fresh" is the word this year at our annual Food Frenzy event! Located in Emerson Suites from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. A $3.00 donation gets you into the door and opens up a World of Food presented by our vendors. All proceeds go to The BackPack Program for The Food Bank of the Southern Tier, where only $3.00 will fill a BackPack with food for a child in need. Help us reach our goal of $5,000 - That's 1,666 BackPacks!
