New hire sessions for new employees will continue to be held every other Monday morning through December 1, 2014.  There will be no new hire session the week of December 15, 2014.   

To accommodate departmental needs, the Office of Human Resources has added an off-schedule new hire session on Monday, January 5, 2015, our first Monday back following the winter holiday break.  We will resume the practice of conducting new hire sessions, in conjunction with the beginning of the bi-weekly pay periods, beginning January 12, 2015.

ASB is a program sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs that gives students the chance to gain personal and professional growth through direct volunteer experience and place-based learning.

Participant-Leaders will be responsible for organizing a group for one of the five ASB locations.

All proceeds go to The BackPack Program for The Food Bank of the Southern Tier, where only $3.00 will fill a BackPack with food for a child in need. Patricia Zimmermann, professor of screen studies and codirector of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, was the invited keynote speaker for the 5th Annual Digital Witness Symposium held jointly at Hamilton College and Syracuse University.

Her lecture was entitled "Towards a Theory and Praxis of Open Space New Media," which explored a range of participatory new media projects that deal with trauma and conflict in non-confrontational ways through collaboration, participatory interfaces, and distributed archiving. She lectured at Hamilton College on October 1, and Syracuse University on October 2.
