The Golden Doorknob Awards are a tradition at the Roy H. Park School of Communications, dating back to the 1970s. Back in those days the films were silent, black and white, and all film students had the same assignment: make a short film that presents the most imaginative way to kill someone with a doorknob. The contest was revived in 2009. The 2013 Golden Doorknob Awards and Screening will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, October 11 in the Park Hall Auditorium at Ithaca College.
