The student refund request system, self-service through Homer, is now back in operation.  This includes the option of a direct deposit for your refund.

The 2020 Census is coming but it seems as if imitators and scammers are coming too – please be aware. 

The 2020 Census this year will be announced to all households via a postcard that will be sent in mid-March.  The postcard will direct you to respond to the Census online. 

We have recently become aware of an organization that has sent out a paper document called the “2020 Congressional District Census”.  This is NOT the official government 2020 Census.

The Fab5 Young Professional Awards Presented by Tompkins Trust Company

The Fab5 Awards are celebrating the achievement of Tompkins County young professionals, ages 21-40, who are growing and excelling in their respective fields and in the community. The Fab5 Young Professional Awards Ceremony happens each February with each award winner receiving recognition in front of their co-workers and peers.

Having grown into the most robust and diverse young professionals networking group in Tompkins County, Tompkins Connect has directly impacted the young professional workforce in Tompkins County in many ways. Census statistical data is important and is used in a variety of ways to improve your local community.  Help Tompkins County access it’s fair share of over $675 billion in federal funds and even more in state funds by making sure you are counted!  Tompkins County has a large population of college students – a group that has traditionally been undercounted in the Census.  You matter to this community.

The Office of Student Engagement is currently looking for someone to step in as the adviser for the Alternative Spring Break trip to Providence, Rhode Island, from March 8 – March 14, where students will work with Providence City Arts on a variety of after school arts-related programs. The group will have time in the evenings to explore Providence, as well.

ASB Advisers play an important role in every trip that we offer, including:

--travel with students and assist with driving IC vehicles

--serve as an emergency contact while on the trip

--assure that all IC and ASB policies are followed

--manage the group's budget and itinerary

--work with the ASB student leader to assure that the trip is a success

All advisers receive an orientation to the program and to their trip prior to departure. Advisers assume absolutely no personal financial cost while traveling with the ASB program.
