We are looking for students who identify as having a physical or a psychosocial disability to participate in a focus group where we will discuss what activities you do as a college student at Ithaca College. We will also discuss the availability of accommodations on campus for both academic and non-academic activities.

The focus group runs for an hour and a half. Refreshments will be provided. You will be entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card for participating.

 The Ithacan has been named one of 10 national finalists for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s 2020 Crown Awards. The Gold and Silver Crowns, the CSPA’s highest honors, are awarded for overall excellence. The paper was judged based on both its print and online editons produced during the 2018-19 academic year (Grace Elletson, editor-in-chief).

 Do you want to enhance your Spanish fluency? If so, join the tertulias that are being held on Mondays, 5:30 to 6:30 pm and Tuesdays 12:10-1:00 pm. Both sessions meet in Job 209 (LCEC, Language Cultural Exchange Cooperative).

 Tertulias are informal meetings of people to talk about current affairs, arts, literature, etc. Our tertulias will be led by a native speaker of Spanish and are open to students and the IC community regardless of language proficiency.

Dr. Cory Young, Associate Professor of Strategic Communication, has been selected to serve as the Assistant Director of the Ithaca College Honors Program from January 2020 through May 2022. Dr. Young is a former Interim Assistant Director of the Honors Program (Fall 2018) and has been actively involved in the program as an advisor and course instructor. She possesses a distinguished record as a faculty member committed to advising, to interdisciplinary curricular exploration, and to intellectual rigor. Her leadership responsibilities will include the areas of admissions, advising, assessment, and program planning, and she will serve as an ex officio member of the Honors Program Steering Committee. Many thanks are extended to Dr. Alicia Swords (Director of Honors), Omar Stoute (Project Coordinator for Honors), and the members of the Honors Steering Committee who served as representatives during the screening process (Dr. Jonathan Ablard and Dr. Brooks Miner). We also appreciate and recognize the contributions of Dr. Mike Haaf who served as Interim Assistant Director of Honors in Fall 2019.

The Division of Marketing and Enrollment Strategy provides complimentary headshots for current faculty and staff during two photo events, once held in the fall and spring semester.

No appointments are needed; sittings are first-come, first-served. Each sitting should take no more than 5 minutes.
