Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations (SCNO), a student-run pro-bono organization providing consulting services for nonprofit organizations, is accepting applications for general members. I am sorry to share some sad news with you. Judy Schapiro Dietz, Jerry Dietz's wife, passed away Monday, September 17. She was 58 years old.

Judy's funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Temple Beth-El, 402 North Tioga Street, in Ithaca. Interment will immediately follow at Lakeview Cemetery, 605 East Shore Drive, also in Ithaca.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Ithaca and surrounding areas in effect until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 18. A Tornado Watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms producing tornadoes in and close to the watch area. Those living in watch areas are advised to monitor weather reports for a possible upgrade to a Tornado Warning, which means that a tornado is indicated by radar or sighted by trained storm spotters.

The Office of International Programs (OIP) would like to invite all faculty and staff members to attend a workshop designed to assist in the development of short-term study abroad programs.  Short-term study abroad programming is an important component of the overseas study options available to Ithaca College students. College faculty and staff members have successfully lead programs over the past several years to a number of different locations, including most recently Belize, Canada, China, Ecuador, Ghana, Italy, Malawi, and the United Kingdom.
