Interested in certifying or recertifying your CPR/AED before the summer job opportunities? The CPR and AED certification class will be April 17th, 18th and 19th from 7:30pm to 10pm.

The CPR and AED cost will be $47 for those who do not need a pocket mask, and $65 for those who need a pocket mask. Checks should be made out to Ithaca College.

The new CPR and AED materials will be taught according to the American Red Cross standards.

The Sustainability Café on Monday, April 9th will feature Lisa Cleckner from the Finger Lakes Institute, discussing Sustainability Initiatives and Lifecycle Assessment in the Finger Lakes Region.” Her talk will focus on current sustainability initiatives in the Finger Lakes in the areas of research and community development including the advancement of a new program in sustainable community development at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. A key component of the Finger Lakes Institute’s approach is lifecycle assessment or taking a systems’ view to analyze potential impacts of local food and agriculture, water supply protection and watershed management, and energy development including hydrofracking. The Café will be held in Center for Natural Sciences Room 112 at 4:00PM.

Steven Mauk, professor of music/saxophone, was the featured guest artist at the 13th Annual Central Florida SAXFEST, held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. The festival brought together saxophonists from around central Florida for a day of concerts and clinics. Mauk presented a master class, where he publicly taught several students, and performed a formal concert. Featured on that concert was the music of Dana Wilson, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Jacob ter Veldhuis, Paul Hindemith, and Giacomo Puccini.

 This FRIDAY APRIL 13, Ithacappella, Premium Blend, and IC VoiceStream will be releasing their take on Lady Gaga's popular hit, "Born This Way." The track will be available on iTunes starting at midnight.

ALL proceeds from the track will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation and the Ali Forney Center, two organizations dedicated to empower and help struggling LGBTQ youth.
