Yeah, me too. But don't worry, just come to IC Women in Communications' cover letter workshop on Wednesday, April 4! Two lovely Peer Career Advisors will be leading a workshop on how to write the most fabulous of cover letters. The workshop will take place in Park 281 at 8 p.m. This will count as a Career Services requirement for all Leadership Scholars.

Relay For Life is the biggest fundraiser in the WORLD.  It is the fight against cancer.

Every year, colleges, universities, and communities across the country (and now in other countries, as well!) host an unforgettable overnight event that takes place around a track.  Caregivers, cancer survivors--anyone who has been affected by cancer either directly or indirectly join together in teams to support the American Cancer Society in the race for a cure.  All night there are fun activities, fundraisers, and performances around the track.  Some people come for just a few hours and others stay all night.

Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to announce that Microsoft Office 2010 for Windows will be available as a free upgrade for IC faculty and staff members to install on their college-owned computers running Windows starting Monday, April 2, 2012.

Office 2010 includes interface changes across all applications, such as the addition of the File tab. Individual applications also have been enhanced with new features, such as PowerPivots in Excel and the macro builder in Access.

Office 2011 is a major new release that includes interface changes across all applications, such as the addition of the ribbon and quick icons. What's more, individual applications have been enhanced with new features, such as sparklines in Excel, video embedding in PowerPoint, and the styles panel in Word.

 This weekend the Palestinian Environmental Film Festival examines the impact of imprisonment on Palestinians’ social fabric, personal relationships and emotional landscapes with screenings of the penetrating documentary Degrees of Incarceration at Ithaca College and the internationally acclaimed feature film Pomegranates and Myrrh at Cinemapolis.

Ithaca senior gymnast Jessica Bolduc was honored as the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association's Outstanding Senior Athlete at the recently completed NCGA Championships, held at Brockport. The award is given to the senior that has most exemplified the mission of the NCGA, which is to encourage the development of discipline, determination and dedication -- skills necessary in the pursuit of academic and career excellence.

Ben Van De Water and Joshua Condon, sophomores in the IC School of Music, are the founders of Academy of Composers, and now finalists in the competition.  The grand prize winner will receive $5,000.  They have continued to work on and improve their business concept since the Fall.  Brad Treat, a business professional and Ithaca College lecturer said "They are creative, smart, hard-working guys, who we expect big things from."
