The 2011 Faculty Survey on Instructional Technology was sent out to 660 faculty members at Ithaca College to assess the current use and perceptions of instructional technologies, their current and future technology needs, and the barriers and motivators to using these technologies. See the reports published last fall containing analyses of the 223 responses.

This week is the start of Recyclemania, a ten week competition IC participates in with hundreds of other colleges and universities across the nation to promote recycling and waste reduction. Each week our recycling will be weighed and added to our scoreboard.

This is a reminder that a test of the Ithaca College Emergency Notification System (ENS) will take place this Thursday, Feb. 9, during the noon hour. It will include a test of the Outdoor Warning System, which features a siren tone and a loudspeaker message. There is no need to take any action in response to the test.

The Media for Social Responsibility mini-course runs from Thursday, March 29  to Saturday, March 31, 2012. It focuses on how media handles coverage of climate change and natural disasters and the responsibilities of media professionals. This course is 12.5 hours of immersive learning, emphasizing how content can communicate social responsibility and effect global transformation. The 1 cr. course is open to all IC students and is listed in General Communications GCOM 20000-01 on Homer.
