Zumba for Faculty & Staff Only

Starting on Tuesday 1/24/12, the Fitness Center will be offering Zumba and Aqua Zumba classes for Faculty & Staff only.  The Zumba classes will be held in the Fitness Center Aerobics Room, and the Aqua Zumba classes will be held in the A&E Center Pool.  Please see below for class days and times.  A complete listing of Faculty/Staff Group Exercise classes will be posted on the Recreational Sports website shortly.

Making Virtual Work "Work"

Ithaca College professional development facilitator Bill Piersol was published in the October 2011 issue of "Proven", a magazine that deals with performance, training, workforce, and development. "The Art and Practice of Virtual Work: First Things First in Engineering Desired Results" was co-authored by Piersol and students enrolled in Ithaca College's Online Professional Certificate Program.

This is a followup to an earlier announcement stating the ITS project to recommend a college-wide solution for accepting online payments is nearing completion. Vendor demonstrations have been scheduled and we  look forward to participation from any staff/faculty with a vested interest in their department accepting  payments for goods and services online.

We hold all packages that arrive during break for returning students.  Order away and pick up your packages on the weekend when you return to campus!

President Tom Rochon has announced the appointment of Christopher (“Chris”) Biehn as vice president for institutional advancement. Biehn, who has more than two decades of fund-raising experience in education and the nonprofit sector, will join the college on April 2. He succeeds Shelley Semmler, who announced last year that she would be retiring from the post she has held since 1999.

Engaging Communities 2012

The 3rd annual Engaging Communities Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in Emerson Suites. We are very pleased to welcome Brian C. Johnson as our presenter for the event.
