Taylor Horton, a senior Television-Radio major with an Audio Production concentration, performs for the Society for Electroacoustic Music (US) National ConferenceContributed by Molly O'Shea Polk on 04/21/11 Taylor Horton's electroacoustic music composition, The Empyrean for computer playback, was one of only six undergraduate works performed at the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS) National Conference in Miami this past semester. The conference is the premier event for the introduction of new electroacoustic works in the United States. Her work was actually a homework assignment from Peter Rothbart's Digital Recording and Editing class. Water = Life . . . Why is water considered 'Blue Gold'? What is your water footprint? Does water have memory? We will use perspectives from the arts, humanities and sciences, and also focus on the global politics of water and sustainability.
